The May half-term offers a fantastic opportunity for families to get outside and enjoy some much-needed activity as the days grow longer and the weather warms up. At The Golf Rooms, we believe there’s no better way to spend the school break than introducing children to golf. With a vibrant and supportive junior community, expert PGA coaches, and top-of-the-line facilities, we offer a fun and engaging environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive.

State-of-the-Art Indoor Facilities

The Golf Rooms is proud to offer one of the country’s most advanced indoor teaching environments. Our indoor space is equipped with seven award-winning Golfzon simulators suitable for players of all skill levels. These simulators allow children to practise and play in a safe, comfortable environment, regardless of the weather outside.

With two Vision Cameras for detailed swing analysis, children can receive precise feedback to help them improve faster and more effectively. Our technology also replicates a wide range of real-world conditions—from uphill and downhill lies to rough, fairway bunkers, and greenside bunkers—giving young players the chance to build a strong all-around game.

One of the standout features of our indoor facility is the big tilt putting green. Here, kids can work on their putting technique dynamically and engagingly, learning how to read breaks and control speed – all crucial components of the game. All lesson data can be tracked using the Golfzon app, offering useful insights into progress and areas for improvement.

Outdoor Learning at Wyke Green Golf Club

While our indoor facilities are ideal for technical training, there’s nothing quite like the feel of real grass underfoot. That’s why we also offer outdoor lessons at Wyke Green Golf Club, just a short distance from our main location. This picturesque 18-hole course provides a beautiful and inspiring setting for children to apply what they’ve learned indoors.

At Wyke Green, young golfers can use dedicated grass putting and chipping areas, a 200-yard grass driving range with multiple targets, and the full 18-hole course itself. This blend of indoor precision and outdoor play ensures a complete golfing education—one that prepares children for the real challenges and joys of the sport.

Building Skills for Life

Golf is much more than just a sport. It teaches patience, discipline, concentration, and perseverance—values that benefit children well beyond the fairways. During our junior lessons, kids learn how to focus, overcome challenges, and support one another as teammates and competitors.

The social benefits of golf are equally important. Our weekly group sessions encourage children to mix with others, make new friends, and enjoy being part of a positive and supportive community. It’s not uncommon to see kids forming lasting friendships through their shared passion for the game.

For those who enjoy a bit of healthy competition, we also offer regular events and mixed social activities where juniors can test their skills in a relaxed and friendly setting. These events are great fun but also help develop confidence and composure under pressure – essential traits both on and off the course.

Tailored Programmes and Packages

At The Golf Rooms, we know that no two families are alike. That’s why our coaching team takes the time to understand each child’s goals, interests and schedule. Whether your child wants to learn the basics during the May half-term break or embark on a long-term development programme, we’ll work with you to create a plan that fits.

Our flexible coaching packages include indoor and outdoor sessions, depending on availability and weather. We offer competitive rates for individual lessons and discounted rates for multiple-session packages, ensuring high-quality coaching remains accessible for families.
